Fixed various collision bugs Fixed various GFX bugs Fixed save hi-score routines (you need to End the game to save the score) Added all Sound FX - thanks to Saimon69 Added 4 new Beer edition rounds. The rounds can only be played by getting a bonus between 50,000 and 250,000 points after each 5 rounds. Depending on the bonus achieved you will play the next round and be able to score a huge amount of points for each Bomb collected. Between 50,000 and 99,000 you'll play the Penshaw Monument round - each bomb collected will get you 1,200 points. Between 100,000 and 149,999 you'll play the Chichen Itza round - each bomb collected will get you 2,000 points. Between 150,000 and 199,999 you'll play the Edinburgh Castle round - each bomb collected will get you 3,000 points. Between 200,000 and 250,000 you'll play the Big Ben round where each Bomb collected will get you 5,000 points. Added the ability to disable/enable sound and music. Also changed is the difficulty, the difficulty now mimics the Arcade on medium dip switch setting.
Here it is, 6 months to the day in the making the final release of Bomb Jack Beer Edition, it has taken an enormous effort and I now need a long break and devote my time to my wife (Thanks Clare for being understanding) and 2 year old (You'll see Leo is a top Bomb Jacker in the hi-score table)In this release I've mostly fixed the Club enemy and the UFO, I've also adjusted all of the difficulty... easier earlier, much harder later (you'll need a good trainer ahhahaha)Although there is still bugs in the game I'm pretty happy with the result given it's a home brew game. As a gamer back in the day if I received this version of Bomb Jack for my £25 I think I would have been quite happy with it.Here's a list of bugs I know about - please don't report them A lit bomb sometimes appears in top left of the screen. Using accelerator cards are known to freeze the game (don't know why) Getting killed and getting a bomb will skip the next round You can't remove initials when entering your name in the hi-score You may experience odd graphics glitches here and there Enemies don't behave exactly like the arcade Other things...However, if any of the other coders want to pick up the project and fix the above then the source code is hereIt's my hope and intention that I'll be able to run through the source code with some Youtube tutorial videos on Amiga game coding, the scene at the moment is top heavy with C64 content and more focused on Amiga hardware. Hopefully I've given inspiration to would be Amiga coders that it is possible to make a decent game and you don't need to be a great coder (I'm certainly not a great coder - just look at the source and you'll see) to make a game. Here it is - http://109.228.4.199/bombjack_final.adfEnjoy - over and out.Geezer
