è notizia di questi giorni che il Macintosh
Cube G4 è in parte utilizzabile nell' attuale MorphOS2.7.
Yeah, although like I said it is a bit limited, since there's no audio and afair the network driver doesn't fully support Cube w/o some manual hacking. But otherwise the thing should just boot since 2.7. Do give it a try.
G4 Cube is actually the only machine we left enabled in MorphOS 2.7 but didn't really promote it due to lack of audio and proper network support. MorphOS 2.7 CD should boot ok from it, though. Even with the ATI Rage card various Cubes have.
Actually, the network can be made working with some additional tweaks, it's just the USB audio that requires way more efforts.
Networking:
There isn't much you can do. We basically didn't do autonegotiation fixes for Cube, so it might work for some, it might fail for some. After all, this isn't an officially supported machine.dettagli tecnici Macintosh Cube G4 //non ha slot PCI, ha AGP 2x con possibilità di sostituire scheda video, vi sono svariate schede CPU card G4@1600/@1800/@2000 di terze parti, simile ai PowerMac G4 del 2000/2001, ma compatto.
